Our mission: To create and commercialize biomarker-based blood tests that enable healthcare providers to more accurately predict imminent disease risk, facilitate targeted intervention and preempt the onset of preventable chronic cardiometabolic conditions such as type 2 diabetes.

In 2005, Tethys began development of the PreDx Diabetes Risk Score (DRS), a simple fasting blood test that combines multiple predictive biomarkers and proprietary algorithm technologies to deliver an unprecedented level of risk stratification for patients at risk for type 2 diabetes. The test was introduced in June, 2008, at the annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association.

The enhanced risk stratification provided by the PreDx DRS enables clinicians to more reliably identify those patients who are at the highest risk of developing type 2 diabetes within five years. This earlier risk detection allows physicians to focus on those patients most in need of intervention, thus implementing strategies that may slow or even prevent disease progression.^1-6

Building on our breakthrough PreDx platform, the Tethys pipeline includes products to help determine risk for first-time heart attack, osteoporotic fracture, and other metabolic diseases. Our primary goal is to improve health outcomes, save lives, and reduce the economic impact of debilitating, preventable diseases on individuals and society.
